So says Berjules. He exerces his talent in his tiny studio, a kiosk perched on a dusty street corner of Antsirabe.
Originally from Fianarantsoa, Berjules settled in Antsirabe where he learnt the art of painting from his brother Daniel. An adept draughtsman, he soon learnt the technique of watercolour and now paints solely in acrylic on canvass, revealing to us the cool green rice fields, the bright pousse-pousses, piles of woven baskets and the brightly coloured markets of his home town.
Berjules is a cheerful soul who paints with passion. He has exhibited abroad several times and dreams of having his own gallery one day.
