| “Art is a vibration that gives life to any subject” |
Délice has always been passionate about art and has painted from an early age. In 1994 just after passing his baccalaureate, when he was due to engage in the army, he fell seriously ill and had to renounce his military career. This, he now says, was a real stroke of luck…For nowadays he wields a paintbrush rather than holding a hefty gun! He smiles as he recounts this turn of events.
From 1996 Fulgence takes him under his wing and tutors him in the various techniques of oil painting. Along with Fulgence his work is exhibited in France and his professional artistic career begins. Another lucky break, he says!
Now treasurer of the Association formed by Fulgence et Randria, he appreciates the lively exchange between the various members.
Delice often paints directly from the subject, landscapes and village scenes….he likes the excitement that this contact with nature provides.
His work can be seen regularly exhibited at the Hotel du Louvre and in the Gallery “ Les Goyaviers”, both situated in Antananarivo.
