| So says the well known artist Désiré Solofoson in his Antsirabe studio.
Meeting Désiré, is really great experience. Each painting is a testimony to his meticulous graphic working method, his sense of humour and his love of colour. They reveal the traditions of Madagascar, the quiet scenes of daily life, sculpted in paint to a rigorous geometry. One is not indifferent to his special point of view.
Désiré began painting in 1966 and exhibited in Fianarantsoa in 1989 with Pierrot Men, Jean Yves Chen and Fulgence.
In 2006 and 2008 he is the “Guest Artist” at exhibitions in the Vendée in France.
A founder member of “Sarikanto” Association, his work is permanently exhibited in the Fulgence Gallery in Antsirabe.
