Today, all Petroleum trading activities of Galana are channeled through Galana Petroleum Limited (GPL), which is headquartered in Dubai, along with our African affiliates stationed in Mozambique and South Africa.
With two decades of robust relationships cultivated with petroleum producers, oil suppliers, customers including government entities, private organizations and Major Oil companies, spread across the Middle East and Asia, GPL today trades eight million barrels of refined products per annum, supplying the Indian Ocean islands, Indian subcontinent, Red Sea, East and Southern Africa.
The traditional trade is driven via a matrix of term purchases and sales, supplemented by spot trading activity. Foreseeing a new dimension to the Oil Trading Industry, in 2009, GPL embarked on a strategy of storage acquisition and asset management in key supply locations across the African and Indian Ocean Regions.
Looking forward, GPL is actively seeking to empower its niche trading and asset management strategy, by further paving its footprint across tactical supply/demand commodity centers across the globe.
